Hoop It Up Comes to Arlington June 25 and 26
Motorists Should Expect Detours and Street Closures near Ameriquest Field

The City of Arlington will close two streets in the Entertainment District for the 17th Annual Hoop It Up "Three on Three" Basketball Tournament on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 at Ameriquest Field in Arlington.

According to the City of Arlington Public Works Department, the streets will be closed to enhance the safety of tournament participants, spectators, vendors and motorists. Hoop It Up is the largest three on three basketball tour in the world and annually attracts between 25,000 and 30,000 people.

Teams will display their talents during pool day on Saturday and qualify to compete for first and second place prizes on Sunday. Winners have a chance to advance to the Hoop It Up World Championships in Florida in September. This is the first year the national event has ever been held in Arlington.

The following streets will be closed:

8 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26

Randol Mill Road will be closed from Pennant Drive to Ballpark Way

Nolan Ryan Expressway will be closed from Stadium Drive to Pennant Drive
