Beginning Monday, January 10, motorists should expect lane closures on Calender Road between Redstone Drive and Curry Road in southwest Arlington. Curry Road is the future Eden Road.

Project Engineer Mike Walker said Calender Road improvements are scheduled for completion in February 2006. Alternate northbound and southbound routes include Cooper Street and Kelly Elliott Road.

This project includes $4.8 million in road improvements and the construction of a new bridge at Sublett Creek. Water and sanitary sewer improvements are being funded by water and sewer bond funds. Street bond funds for drainage improvements and the reconstruction of Calender Road were authorized by voters in a 1999 Bond Election.
