Art-Ventures and Hispanic Heritage Celebrations Highlight Activities in October

Saturday Art-Ventures

Art-Ventures is held every Saturday in October from 11 a.m. until noon at the Arlington Museum of Art, which is located at 201 W. Main St. in downtown Arlington. This free program brings together the worlds of reading and art for children ages eight and up. Children who attend all programs will receive a free book courtesy of the Arlington Public Library. Call 817-459-6900 and select option #3 to register.

Arlington Public Library Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

The East Arlington Branch Library presents Fiesta Latina from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday in October:

October 16 – The Mariachis are Coming!

October 23 – Learn how to plan your own Quinceanera

October 30 – Celebrate El Dia de los Muertos

The George W. Hawkes Central Library presents Fiesta at the Library

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 in the Children's Section. Enjoy stories, music, crafts, a piñata, and delicious pan dulce (sweet bread). No registration is required. For more information, call 817-459-6900 and select option #3.

Spanish Storytime - Cuentos y Canciones - Every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Central Library.
