Arlington Public Library Observes National Teen Read Week
Horror-Themed Events Planned for October 17-23

The Arlington Public Library celebrates National Teen Read Week, October 17-23. This reading initiative is for teens age 12-18 years old. This year’s theme is the horror genre. The Arlington Public Library System is alive with books and programs about mystery, intrigue, dark heroes, monster movies and more.

  • Monster Madness Teen Movie at the East Arlington Branch
    4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13

  • Get Slimed at the George W. Hawkes Central Library/Community Room
    6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16
      
  • Gotham Adventures at the Northeast Branch
    4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19
       
  • Fear Factor Food Challenge at the Southeast Branch
    6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22
    This program is funded by the Barfield Family Private Foundation.
      
  • Urban Legends - Fact or Fiction? At the Lake Arlington Branch
