The Arlington Municipal
Building, Municipal Office Tower and many other local government offices
will be closed Monday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day. Municipal
government offices and city services will resume regular hours on Tuesday,
July 6.
What’s Closed Sunday, July 4 for Independence Day
- George W. Hawkes Central Library and all branch libraries
- Dottie Lynn Recreation Center
- Meadowbrook Recreation Center
- Hugh Smith Recreation Center
- Cliff Nelson Recreation Center
- Bob Duncan Community Center
- Senior Recreation Center – Eunice
- Senior Recreation Center – New York
- Hugh Smith Indoor Pool
- All municipal pools will close at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 4.
- Elzie Odom Recreation Center will open at noon and close early at 6 p.m.

- There will be no garbage and recycling pickups
