Beginning Monday, March 29, construction crews will be rebuilding Webb Ferrell Road from Mansfield Webb Road to Bratcher Drive.

The entire 1.83 mile stretch of Webb Ferrell Road is scheduled to be completed by mid May. This $50,000 improvement project is being funded by the City’s Street Maintenance Sales Tax.

According to Street Superintendent Bill Bateman, Webb Ferrell Road will be rebuilt using a process called asphalt reclamation. The existing roadway will be mixed with lime to build a new base. Once this process is complete, a new asphalt base and surface will be constructed, which is expected to improve mobility and extend the life of the pavement.

Road construction will be completed in phases and, at times, will require the temporary closure of Webb Ferrell Road. During the project, homeowners along Webb Ferrell Road will continue to have access to their property. Motorists are asked to proceed with caution and follow detour routes.

For more information about this project, call Street Superintendent Bill Bateman at 817-459-5434.
