The Fifth Annual Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance is 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Elzie Odom Recreation Center, which is located at 1601 N.E. Green Oaks Blvd. This year’s theme is "Alice in Wonderland."

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, organizers say this event allows fathers an opportunity to show their love for their daughters. Every daughter will receive a flower, a gift and keepsake photograph. Horsedrawn carriage rides are also available.

"The entire arena at the Elzie Odom Recreation Center has been transformed into a fantasy land with very bright colors and fairy tale characters," said Krissy Kozack, an event organizer from the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department. "It is truly a unique experience."

According to Parks Marketing Manager Michelle Rice, "This is the kind of event that a dad and his daughter can treasure for a lifetime."

Tickets are $40 per couple. For more information, call the Elzie Odom Recreation Center at 817-462-3700. The news media should contact Michelle Rice at 682-597-6438.
