Council Member Joe Bruner to Host June 16 Town Hall Meeting by Cheryel Carpenter District 1 City Council Member Joe Bruner will host a town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 16. The meeting will occur at the Northeast Branch Library, which is located at 1905 E. Brown Blvd. The development of the Lakes of Arlington area is one of several topics to be discussed during the meeting. The Lakes of Arlington is a 1,950-acre site located north of the Trinity River between North Collins Street and State Highway 360. The Lazarus Property Corporation has proposed the construction of homes, shops, warehouses and gas well drilling in the area. Bruner was elected in May 2000 to represent the portion of the city bounded primarily by Division Street on the south and the city limits on the north. The district is also bounded by Great Southwest Parkway and SH 360 on the east and Fielder Road and the city limits on the west. District 1 includes Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, The Ballpark in Arlington and River Legacy Parks.
