New Web Site Inspires Golfers to Play the Game by Cheryel Carpenter If Annika Sorenstam and Tiger Woods have not inspired golfers to hit the links, a visit to www.arlingtongolf.com could. The new Web site is more than 50 full-color pages of golf programs and services for people of every level of playing experience. Arlingtongolf.com connects customers with news and information around the clock. The site has information about Golf clinics taught by PGA professionals for ladies, juniors, beginners and advanced golfers. An events calendar for each of Arlington’s four municipal golf courses, along with information about rental costs and green fees can also be found on the site. Tournament registration information is available, and results are updated and posted daily. To get the most for your money, online printable coupons are available. Visitors register at the site to receive additional specialized promotions via e-mail. Since the Web site was launched in March, it has had more than 150,000 hits. An estimated 55 visitors a day are making www.arlingtongolf.com their web page destination. Golf Business Analyst Erin Clark describes the color photos and graphics on the web pages as "looking as good as the view from a golf course." "We want people who have never played golf to give it a try," Clark said. "The person who does not own golf clubs and golf shoes should not feel out of place. We are convinced that if they try it once, they’ll want to play again. We are here to help." For more information about www.arlingtongolf.com, call 817-478-8500. |
