The Arlington Municipal Building, Municipal Office Tower and many other city offices will be closed Monday, May 26, for Memorial Day.

The George W. Hawkes Central Library on Abram Street and all Arlington public library branches will be closed. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, May 27.

According to Handitran officials, there will be no transportation services in the city on Memorial Day.

The administrative offices of the Parks and Recreation Department on Main Street will be closed on Memorial Day.

Municipal swimming pools and most city recreation centers will be open. The Dottie Lynn Recreation Center, Meadowbrook Recreation Center, Hugh Smith Recreation Center, Cliff Nelson Recreation Center and the Elzie Odom Recreation Centers will close early at 6 p.m.

The City’s two Senior Recreation Centers and the Bob Duncan Community Center will also be closed on Memorial Day.
