Spring Cleanup Day in Arlington is Saturday, April 19

Arlington residents can dispose of items such as trash, brush, tires, old fencing, lead acid batteries and other bulky items free of charge on Spring Cleanup Day, Saturday, April 19.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Arlington residents may dispose of items at the following sites:

  • Arlington Sanitary Landfill, 800 Mosier Valley Road
  • Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, 1800 E. Lamar Blvd.
  • Sam Houston High School, 2000 Sam Houston Drive
  • Martin High School, 4501 W. Pleasant Ridge Road

Proof of Arlington residency is required. Citizens should present identification such as a current driver’s license or water bill upon arrival. No contractors will be allowed.

Household hazardous waste such as paint, pesticides and motor oil will not be accepted. No more than four tires per household will be accepted, and roofing material will not be accepted.

Spring Cleanup Day is an opportunity for Arlington residents to dump for free in an effort to enhance the City’s appearance. The event is sponsored by the Arlington Clean Team, Arlington Disposal Company, the City of Arlington, the Arlington Independent School District and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.
