Human Resources Director Hired by April Nixon City Manager Chuck Kiefer announced today the hiring of Dal Anderson as the city's new director of Human Resources. Anderson has worked for the City's Human Resources Department since 1995, most recently as the interim director of the department following the departure of Paulette Owens- Holmes last summer. "Dal has done a very effective job dealing with the many challenges he has faced during his interim assignment," Kiefer said. "I am confident that he will excel as the City's new HR director." While with the City, Anderson has held the positions of human resources specialist, human resources consultant, and human resources assistant manager. Prior to coming to the City, he was a regional staffing manager in the food and beverage industry. Anderson has 14 years of experience in human resources and recruiting, and he has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M University. Anderson said that he was pleased to be offered the position. "I am excited about the opportunity and appreciate the confidence the city manager has placed in me," Anderson said. "Our organization faces challenges, both short and long term. "The Human Resources Department can have a positive impact, and I look forward to providing leadership to that end," he said. Anderson will assume his new post immediately, and his annual salary will be $100,752.
