From nearly 300 pieces of art work, members of the Arlington Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will select the best artistic illustration of the sharing of Dr. King’s dream.

The news media is invited to attend the Sharing the Dream Art Contest judging process. Judging begins at noon, Monday, Nov. 4, at Arlington City Hall, 101 W. Abram St.

The artwork comes from junior high and senior high school students who reside within the Arlington city limits. The first place winner of the Sharing the Dream Art Contest will receive a $500 U.S. savings bond, the second place winner will receive a $300 U.S. savings bond, and the third place winner will receive a $100 U.S. savings bond. The winning art design will appear on all Arlington Martin Luther King Jr. marketing and publicity materials, including T-shirts, posters, programs and flyers.
