Fall Cleanup Day in the City October 19

Fall Cleanup Day in Arlington is Saturday, Oct. 19. Arlington residents can dispose of items such as trash, brush, tires, furniture, carpet, lumber, appliances, auto batteries and tires free of charge.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Arlington residents can take items to the following sites for disposal:

  • Arlington Sanitary Landfill
    800 Mosier Valley Road

  • Six Flags Hurricane Harbor
    1800 E. Lamar Blvd.

  • Sam Houston High School
    2000 Sam Houston Dr.

The City of Arlington can not accept household hazardous waste materials such as paint, roofing materials, used motor oil and pesticides.

Proof of Arlington residency is required for the Oct. 19 Fall Cleanup event. Arlington residents should present identification such as a current driver's license or water bill upon arrival. Contractors will not be allowed to dispose of items.

Fall Cleanup Day is sponsored by the Arlington Clean Team, Arlington Disposal Company, the City of Arlington, the Arlington Independent School District and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.
