The George W. Hawkes Central Library on Abram Street and all Arlington public library branches will be closed Monday.

According to Handitran officials, there will be no special transportation services on Labor Day. Regular service will resume Tuesday.

The administrative offices of the Parks and Recreation Department on Main Street will be closed on Labor Day. All city recreation centers in Arlington will be closed. The Elzie Odom Recreation Center will be open. The Bob Duncan Community Center is closed Labor Day.

Monday is also the last day of swim season at the Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center. All municipal golf courses in the city and the Arlington Tennis Center will be open to the public on Labor Day.

The Senior Recreation Center on Eunice Street and the Senior Recreation Center on New York will be closed Labor Day. Regular programs will resume Tuesday.

In Arlington, there will be no garbage and recycling pickups on Labor Day. Regular services will resume Tuesday, Sept. 3.
