Open enrollment continues through Sept. 30, 2002 for Ready-Care, the Arlington EMS System Annual Membership Program.

Ready-Care membership is available to Arlington residents and their families from the Arlington EMS System of American Medical Response. Compliance with the terms of the membership agreement can reduce out-of-pocket costs for emergency and non-emergency ambulance services. Medicaid patients are not eligible for participation in this program.

To enroll, complete a membership application, enclose a check or money order and copies of all insurance and or medicare cards and mail to Arlington EMS Ready-Care prior to Oct. 1, 2002. The mailing address is Arlington EMS, 1108 E. Division St., Arlington, Texas 76011.

Membership begins Oct. 1, 2002 and expires at midnight on Sept. 30, 2003.

"While we hope no one ever has a medical emergency requiring an ambulance, this membership program can help manage the costs of emergency and non-emergency ambulance services," said Lu Ann Smith, the Director of Business Development for AMR North Texas and Oklahoma.
