Cable Television Systems in the City of Arlington, Texas

A public hearing will be held by the Arlington City Council at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2002 in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 101 W. Abram St., on the request for the transfer of control of AT&T Broadband to Comcast Corporation.

The city’s cable television ordinance gives the City Council the authority to consent to any acquisition, merger or transfer of control of a franchisee. Interested parties and citizens are encouraged to comment on the proposed merger and qualifications of Comcast Corporation, the prospective controlling party, to meet the future cable-related needs of the community.
