Spring Cleanup Day in Arlington is Saturday, April 13

Spring Cleanup Day in Arlington is Saturday, April 13. Arlington residents can dispose of items such as trash, brush, tires, bulky items and lead acid batteries free of charge.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Arlington residents may dispose of items at the following sites:

  • Arlington Sanitary Landfill
    800 Mosier Valley Road

  • Six Flags Hurricane Harbor
    1800 E. Lamar Blvd.

  • Sam Houston High School
    2000 Sam Houston Dr.

The City will not accept household hazardous waste materials such as paint, roofing materials, used motor oil and pesticides. Contractors will not be allowed to dispose of items.

Proof of Arlington residency is required for the April 13 Spring Cleanup event. Citizens should present identification such as a current driver's license or water bill upon arrival. Spring Cleanup Day is an opportunity for Arlington residents to dump for free in an effort to enhance the City’s appearance. The event is sponsored by the Arlington Clean Team, Arlington Disposal Company, the City of Arlington, the Arlington Independent School District and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.
