Construction begins Monday, March 11 to widen Cooper Street, from Abram Street to Interstate 30. The $9.4 million project, which will widen Cooper to six lanes, includes landscaping, street lighting and underground utility improvements. The project is expected to be completed in September 2003.

The traffic on Cooper Street will be reduced to two lanes during construction. Alternate routes include but are not limited to Center Street, Mesquite Street, Davis, Fielder Road and Collins Street. For more information, please call Project Engineer Martin Phillips at 817-459-6597.
