Registration Open for Spring Water Awareness Night by Cheryel Carpenter Arlington Water Awareness is a free event designed to educate youth, ages 6 to 14, about water issues. The event is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at the Arlington Water Utilities South Service Center, which is located at 1100 S.W. Green Oaks Blvd. Participants will learn how to make a rain gauge, read water meters, plant seeds and conserve water. Camp Fire, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, YMCA Parent/Child groups, homeschoolers and church youth groups can participate in hands-on activities. Adult and youth participants receive free hot dogs, soft drinks and a newly designed patch celebrating Spring Water Awareness Night. Online pre-registration is required, at www.ci.arlington.tx.us.
