Popular Holiday Exhibition Attracts Tourists from Near and Far
The holiday light displays at
Interlochen in Arlington have begun. Beginning Friday, Dec. 15 through
Christmas Day, from sundown to about 11 p.m., the City of Arlington will
provide travel assistance to tourists in the area. There is no cost for
admission.

Bound for Salt Lake City, Utah, the 2002 Olympic Torch will travel
through Arlington on Wednesday, December 12. Organizers say the torch is
scheduled to arrive at The Ballpark in Arlington at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Merchants Instructed to Recalculate Sales Tax Collections
The State Comptroller of Public Accounts has informed the City of
Arlington that it is notifying merchants to discontinue the collection of
the additional half-cent sales tax for The Ballpark, effective December 1.
