Mayor Elzie Odom will host the December 14 Senior Advisory Christmas Dinner, which will occur at the Senior Recreation Center – New York. The dinner is open to all Arlington seniors age 55 and older.

The program will start at 2 p.m. followed by performances from the Martin High School Choir at 3 p.m. Seniors are asked to bring a canned good to be donated to an Arlington charity. Seniors are also invited to bring a dessert or their favorite holiday dish. The dinner is being co-sponsored by Spring Creek Barbecue.

The mayor organized the Senior Advisory Council in August to help identify the issues of Arlington seniors age 55 and older. The Christmas Dinner is a way to fellowship with seniors and celebrate the joys of the holiday season. Reservations are not required.
