The Arlington Public Library System is collecting books to benefit children who are being served by local human service agencies. Until November 30th, new or gently used children’s books can be dropped off at the George W. Hawkes Central Library or any branch library in the City.

Library staff will sort, wrap and distribute the books in time for Christmas. The books will be distributed to organizations such as Mission Arlington, the Women’s Shelter, Salvation Army Day Care and the Arlington Police Department’s Santa Cops Program.

For more information about this program, contact Children’s Services Coordinator Bethany Ponder at 817-459-6968 or the Central Library at 817-459-6900.
