PROGRAM
Description
The Housing Choice Voucher Rental Assistance Program provides low
and very low-income households with housing assistance. The program
provides financial assistance to lease units from participating landlords who
offer decent, safe, and affordable housing within the
Fair Market Rents
(FMR). Each unit must pass a Housing Quality Standards (HQS)
inspection and be rent reasonable as compared to other similar units
in the same geographic area.
Participating tenants
pay approximately 30% of their adjusted income toward their rent,
with the balance paid by the Housing Authority.

Criteria for Eligibility
Participants must have a total family income at the time of
application that does not exceed the "Very Low Income" level of
HUD Income Limits.
