A.H.A. HOUSING CHOICE
VOUCHER PROGRAM Notice of Waiting List Closure Effective June 16, 2010 at midnight, the Arlington Housing Authority
(AHA) has temporarily ceased accepting applications for the Housing
Choice Voucher program. At this time the AHA has received over
12,000 applications which are included on a waiting list. Applicants
will be selected from the waiting list in order of the date of
application and local preference contingent on funding availability.
The AHA will contact selected applicants by mail or e-mail. It is
the responsibility of the applicant to notify the AHA of any changes
to their application or contact Information. Applicants may update
their application or check their status on-line at
www.arlingtonhousing.us

La Autoridad de Vivienda de Arlington, a partir del 16 de junio 2010

Foreclosure Prevention Workshops are Helping Preserve Neighborhoods
The City of Arlington in partnership with Arlington Board of Realtors
(ARBOR) and DFW Home Ownership Preservation Enterprise (HOPE) held a
Homeownership Preservation Workshop in Arlington on April 24, 2010. A total of
79 homeowners were in attendance. Five lenders and five counseling agencies were
represented at the event, as well as a representative from the Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Neighborhood Stabilization Program - Plan Amendment
The City of Arlington has amended its Neighborhood Stabilization Program to
expand the opportunities for qualified homebuyers and reallocate funding between
existing, approved activities. The proposed amendments were available for public
comment, discussed at a public hearing, and were approved by City Council and
the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Please see the Amended Plan
and a map of the new, expanded target areas below. Any questions can be directed

NAHRO Fellow
The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) awarded
David Zappasodi the prestigious honor of being named a NAHRO Fellow for his many
years of experience, mastery, and knowledge in the field of housing and
community development.

Seeking Qualified Investment Services
The Housing Authority of the City of Arlington (AHA) is seeking qualified
professionals to provide investment services. Interested Investment Services
professionals should review the AHA Investment Policy, and submit a completed
Certification Letter and Broker Questionnaire to Amy Trevino, Financial Manager,
501 W. Sanford Street, Suite 20, Arlington TX 76011. Questions should also be

The Neighborhood Matching Grants Program gives
your neighborhood organization the opportunity to implement public projects that
will be awarded a maximum of $10,000 in City funds to be matched equally by a
private source of funds, donated funds, labor and/or in-kind contributions. For
