HOME OWNERSHIP

Description:

The City of Arlington and the Arlington Housing Authority work cooperatively to promote homeownership for first time homebuyers.

The following programs are offered to lower income persons in support of homeownership:

bullet Arlington Homebuyers' Assistance Program
 
bullet Arlington Housing Finance Corporation
 
bullet Homeownership Voucher Program

Criteria for Eligibility

Program participants must meet the U S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income limits. Participants must have a total household income at the time of application that does not exceed the applicable HUD Income Limits. For the Homeownership programs the HUD income limits are 80% of the Area Median Income.

Chase Homeownership Center now open in Dallas: The Chase Homeownership Centers are a key element in Chase Bank's effort to help famlies prevent foreclosure and remain in their homes.  On January 14, 2010, Chase opened its newest Homeownership Center in Dallas, TX.  This center provides Chase, Washington Mutual and EMC mortgage customers with the opportunity to meet face-to-face with trained advisors to discuss their individual situation and work towards a potential solution.  Additional information is available at the following link.  Chase Homeownership Center.

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) was established by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 on July 30, 2008.
