Members assist the Mayor and City Council and make recommendations on
general policy matters that impact where you live. Most boards and
commissions function in advisory capacities, and some have final
decision-making authority. Members serve two-year terms and are

Grant Awards for Non-Profit Organizations The Community
Services Department awards Community Development
Block Grant, Emergency Shelter Grant, HOME, and
American Dream Downpayment Initiative funds made
available through the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development. The City awarded grants
to 23 nonprofit organizations to provide a
variety of services to Arlington citizens for
Program Year 2007, which began July 1, 2007. For

Consolidated Annual
Performance and Evaluation Report and Proposed
Amendments
The Consolidated Annual Performance and
Evaluation Report (CAPER) is a summary of the
progress made by the City of Arlington to
achieve the goals identified in the 2005-2010
Consolidated Plan and the Action Plan for
Program Year 2006. This report covers projects
and activities funded by Community Development
Block Grant funds, HOME Investment Partnership
Program funds, American Dream Downpayment
Initiative funds, and Emergency Shelter Grant
funds received during the program year. The City
is also proposing amendments to the Consolidated
Plan and Action Plan.
The public is invited to comment on the CAPER
and Amendments. Comments are received through
September 12, 2007 and should be addressed to
the City's Community Services Department, 501 W.
Sanford Street, Suite 10, Arlington, TX 76011,
