MEDICAL WASTE
Medical waste generated by health and
dental care facilities is disposed in secure containers, which are
specially marked and segregated from regular trash. Arlington Disposal
Company collects and disposes of medical waste which consists of blood,
needles, syringes, etc. This regulation does not apply to medical wastes
generated by individuals at home or when traveling. These individuals
should be careful handling hazardous waste by disposing the waste in a
covered puncture-resistant container and then taping the lid securely
before disposal.
