Handitran is about service to the community and individual
independence. We transport elderly and disabled citizens to
essential services, medical appointments, work, or any location
within our service area, utilizing a state of the art scheduling and
dispatching system.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BOOK A TRIP?
Once your application is approved, a customer profile is created
for you that includes your location, ride preferences and any
personal mobility devices to insure the best match for your future
trips. You are now ready to begin requesting trips through our
scheduling office.
Next Steps
Once a trip is booked it's automatically dispatched to the
most efficient vehicle on the day of requested service.
Staff will then monitor all vehicles and assure timely
delivery of your trip.
Your trip request is sent directly to a mobile device in the
vehicle, complete with any information pertaining to your
specific needs.
Once the vehicle arrives at your location, you will be
escorted from your door to the vehicle by one of our highly
trained staff, who will assure a safe and pleasant
transportation experience.
While you are at your destination, our automated system will
review the current location of all available vehicles and send
the most efficient vehicle to take you back home.
