Mo Leaves, Mo Problems?
Go Green, Go Bag-less!

Organic Lawn Care LLC is a lawn care company with a non-traditional method
of leaf removal. Instead of bagging and hauling leaves to the landfill,
Texas Organic shreds the leaves and takes them to be turned into mulch. The
company’s owner, Casey Cunningham says, “It just makes sense. Bagging and
landfilling leaves is a needless waste of organic material. We should be
putting the leaves to better use, such as a mulch or an ingredient in
compost.”
Texas Organic Lawn Care launched its new “Go Bag-less” service this past
Fall to great success. “Over the course of the leaf season we recycled over
26 tons of leaves. That’s just incredible to me. Customers that would have
normally had over 100 bags on their curb destined for the landfill, now have
zero. I think our customers appreciate the fact we don’t bag our leaves They
feel proud about the part they play in making Arlington greener.”
Texas Organic Lawn Care is an Arlington based company that understands the
need and desire to protect our city. In addition to not bagging leaves,
Texas organic also:
- Mulches grass: they don’t bag grass. It’s better for the lawn if
grass is mulched
- Mulches trimmings: shrub clippings are also mulched on site
- Uses organic fertilizer: fertilizer is produce-based (corn and
alfalfa). This eliminates synthetic runoff during rain storms and
homeowner watering.
