ORGANIZATION CHART :: ASSISTANT CHIEF - OPERATIONS SUPPORT

Fire Rescue Support Division is responsible for management and direction of the City's Emergency Medical Operations section, Office of Emergency Management, 911 Dispatch/Communications, Office of Special Events, Data Management and Budget Services.

Medical Operations section responsibilities include: clinical and response time performance monitoring of both Fire and ambulance medical providers as well as interfacing with the city's emergency medical community and managing the city's Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) in the event of a large scale medical emergency.

The Office of Emergency Management is responsible for all large scale emergencies in the City which include both natural and manmade disaster responses as well as direct management of homeland security projects.

The 104 employees of the 911 Dispatch/Communications section are responsible for providing effective 911 call take and Fire/Police emergency dispatching services including oversight and management of rapidly evolving communication technologies and services for the City of Arlington.

The Office of Special Events is responsible for the management of FD event/incident operations associated with large mass gatherings in the City of Arlington. This Section provides leadership to Fire Department staff members providing emergency and support services at mass gatherings. These mass gatherings include events at: Cowboys Stadium, The Ballpark in Arlington, Parades, and other large community Special Events.

Data management and budget groups provide critical information for the support for all Fire Department operations including: field and medical operations, capital projects, and resource and grant management services.
