ORGANIZATION CHART :: ASSISTANT CHIEF - OPERATIONS

Fire Operations is responsible for providing cost-effective fire prevention and education, fire suppression, rescue, underwater recovery, hazardous materials mitigation, and emergency medical services to the citizens and visitors of Arlington. Sixteen stations are strategically located throughout the City.

A total of 261 personnel operate 16 engine companies, five truck companies, five tankers, one hazardous materials vehicle, and one rescue van in fulfilling these functions. Operations personnel also participate in training and maintaining station, apparatus, equipment and fire hydrants.

Other duties include conducting Fire, Health, Life and Safety Education programs as well as business inspections, and a number of related assignments.
