THE ARLINGTON EMS SYSTEM :: EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS' ADVISORY BOARD

The Emergency Physicians’ Advisory Board (EPAB), established by the City Ambulance Ordinance, provides opportunity for Arlington hospitals providing emergency medical services to patients arriving by ambulance to discuss topics regarding pre-hospital emergency medical services.

The Emergency Physicians’ Advisory Board is comprised of 11 persons appointed by City Council. Members include the Emergency Department Director, or his/her representative, of each hospital in Arlington that receives emergency patients by ambulance; seven other physicians, the EMS Medical Director, and the Fire Chief. The EMS Medical Director and Fire Chief are Ex Officio non-voting members. The Emergency Physicians’ Advisory Board holds quarterly public meetings.
