Hiring Process...Written Exam
Written Exam – May 17, 2012 – 6 p.m.
The exam will be held at the Arlington Convention Center located at 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington, TX 76011. There is a $5 parking charge (cash only) at the Convention Center.
Please bring exact change. The exam will start at 6 p.m. and we will begin the ‘check-in’ process at 4 p.m. Please note: there is a 1:05 p.m. Rangers Game that afternoon. Expect possible delays. There is a 2.5 hour time limit for completing the exam; however, you may CHECK OUT and exit the building whenever you finish. Please leave any bags/cell phones in your car. You only need to bring an I.D. and #2 pencils with you inside the building.

Who we are:

The Arlington Fire Department is a multi-faceted emergency response organization providing high quality emergency and life safety services to the citizens and visitors of Arlington Texas. Arlington’s 100 square miles is protected by firefighters located at 16 Fire Stations. Other Fire Department facilities include: Fire Administration, Fire Prevention, the Fire Training Center, Resource Management and Reserve Apparatus facilities.

The Arlington Fire Department holds a Class 2 Rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO). This rating helps the local community by bringing lower insurance rates to homeowners and businesses.

From Fire/Rescue and Advanced Life Support (ALS) Medical Response, to Special Hazard (CBRNE) Response Teams, to large-scale emergency management, along with other life safety services and focused community education efforts, our team is committed to serving our City in every way we can.
