Our mission is to provide quality service to our customers and vendors alike, by implementing and supporting processes that provide timely, cost-effective, high quality contracts through cooperative and proactive procurement practice.

To this end, the Purchasing Division has earned the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award for four consecutive years (2004, 2005, 2006, & 2007).  This nationally recognized award is earned by verification of achievement against the National Purchasing Institute's standardized criteria.  The program measures innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership.
