WATER :: SANITARY SEWER OVERFLOWS
Have
You Ever Seen This Occurring?
CALL 817-459-5900
This
is an overflowing sanitary sewer cleanout. If the problem causing a
manhole to overflow is not corrected, wastewater from the sanitary
sewer system could enter the storm drainage system and flow into one
of Arlington's creeks. Wastewater can harm aquatic life and may result
in a costly cleanup. Arlington is committed to protecting our creeks
from pollution, and we need your help in doing this.
You can help us by
reporting any problems you see. Many citizens believe someone else
will call, or simply don't know who to call. If you see a problem,
please notify the city immediately
You can report
sanitary sewer overflows 24 hours a day. Call 817-459-5900! Remember,
we can't address an overflow problem if we don't know about it.
If there is an
overflow of wastewater at your home or if you see an overflow
anywhere, call 817-459-5900. Don't rely on someone else calling. All
of us must help to keep Arlington's creeks pollution free.
The City must
ultimately deal with any pollution entering our creeks. We need to
know the cause so that further problems can be prevented.
To report other types
of instream water pollution, call 817-459-6550 (8 am-5 pm, M-F) or
leave a message at 817-459-6599 any time of the day or night.
Only rainfall runoff
and irrigation water should enter the storm drainage system. The storm
drainage system is the underground pipes, ditches, and channels that
drain water from streets carry it to our creeks. if you see someone
dumping anything into a street, storm drain, or creek, call
817-459-6550 during normal working hours, M-F, or leave a message at
817-459-6599 at any hour.
