TYPECODE PRACTICE EXAM Welcome to Dispatch Service's
Practice Typecode Exam website. The purpose of this website
application is to allow you, as a new or existing employee, to
practice learning or maintaining the foundation of our work
environment - typecodes.
At the bottom of the page, you will
find links to all five practice exams. There is an exam for police
typecodes only, fire typecodes only, EMS typecodes only, fire/EMS
typecodes combined, and combined all fire/police/EMS.
You may choose to go through each and
every typecode on every exam, or you may choose to only answer some of
the questions on some of the exams. After five questions on each test,
an "End" button will become enabled. By pushing
"end," you can finalize and score any test without going
through all the typecodes.
You should not have to use your mouse
while taking the test. The program is designed to allow you to hit
enter on your keyboard both after you answer the question and to move
on to the next question. It should only be necessary to use your mouse
to click on the links at the bottom or end the test with the end
button (if you choose not to use the tab and enter functionality).
Remember that this is for practice
only. No one and nothing is monitoring your score. The purpose of this
practice exam is memorization through repetition. The more often you
take the practice exams, the more likely it will be that memorization
of these typecodes will happen naturally.
