City Council Approves Budget

The Arlington City Council has approved a $160.7 million budget for Fiscal Year 2004 and the first property tax rate increase in 10 years. This week, Arlington City Council members voted 8 to 1 to increase the property tax rate by 1.4 cents from 63.4 cents. The new tax rate is 64.8 cents per $100 assessed property value.
