Vacant Structure Initiative
In an effort to promote strong neighborhoods, the City of Arlington is currently partnering with property owners of vacant residential and commercial structures. By proactively communicating and working together we can keep our neighborhoods safe and strong.

Duplex Inspection Program
Effective September 1, 2008, the Community Services Department begins an annual duplex inspection program to help reinvigorate neighborhoods and encourage responsible property ownership and maintenance.

City Management Staff Recruited as Code Rangers
The management team from all city departments partnered by attending a training class and joining the Code Ranger team to help with reinvigorating neighborhoods.

As of Thursday, October 1, 2009, a new fee schedule became effective for various health, animal, and code compliance services provided in the City of Arlington.
Many of the additions and adjustments provide incentives for increasing the standards in Arlington to help make neighborhoods more safe and attractive.

The Nuisance Ordinance Becomes Stronger October 1, 2007
Enforcement of the Nuisance Ordinance provisions begin October 1, 2007. These amendments raise the standards in Arlington helping make neighborhoods safer, stronger and more attractive.

Multi-Family Inspection Scores Now Available Online
The Community Services Department will post annual property inspections (API) scores for apartment communities, extended stay hotel/motels and triplex/quadplex properties online. A score of 70 or higher is passing.

Johnson Creek - A Vision of Conservation
