DUPLEX INSPECTION PROGRAM
Attention: All owners of non-owner occupied duplexes
The Duplex Inspection Program was created to help reinvigorate
neighborhoods and encourage responsible property ownership and
maintenance. The program officially began on September 1, 2008. All
owners of non-owner occupied duplexes are required to register their
properties.
The Code Compliance Division of Community Services manages the
duplex inspection program and proactively performs exterior
inspections of these duplexes. Properties with a passing score of 71
or higher are exempted from an interior inspection of the property.
Properties that pass their initial duplex inspection earn the
designation of Team Pride Neighbor. A property may lose their Team
Pride Neighbor status if confirmed code violations occur within a
year after initial inspection. Properties that remain on the Team
Pride Neighbors list for twelve consecutive months will receive
special recognition by the City of Arlington Community Services
Department.
