Who do I call to help me find my lost pet?
If you have lost a pet, visit the City of Arlington Animal Services
shelter at least every other day. Visiting is best, as opposed to
calling, because you have a chance to actually view the animals at the
shelter. Stray pets are held for a minimum of 72 hours then placed
into the adoption program, donated to a rescue group, or euthanized if
it is non-adoptable. Animal Services also has a phone list available
of all animals impounded by each business day.
If your pet is wearing a city license or a rabies vaccination tag,
Animal Services will attempt to return your animal to you prior to
impoundment.
The City of Arlington Animal Services’ shelter is located at 5920
West Pioneer Parkway in Arlington. The shelter’s hours are 10 a.m.
to 6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on
Saturday. For more information, please call 817-451-3436.

the Arlington area. If
your lost pet is not at the shelter, you may also visit the Humane
Society of North Texas, 1840 East Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas
