PEER REVIEW
The City Auditor’s Office is a member of the Association of Local
Government Auditors (A.L.G.A.), an organization committed to
improving the quality of auditing in local government. The City
Auditor’s Office has adopted and follows Government Auditing
Standards (GAS) issued by the Comptroller General of the United
States.
The Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller of
the United States require audit organizations to have an external
Peer Review to determine whether, during the period under review,
the reviewed audit organization’s internal quality control system
was adequate and whether quality control policies and procedures
were being complied with to provide the audit organization with
reasonable assurance of conforming with applicable professional
standards.
