The City of Arlington hosts a commercial property listings and analysis website, ArlingtoniSites.com, with a first-of-its-kind online mapping interface. First launched in 2003, Arlington iSites now offers listings of nearly 200 commercial properties as well as in-depth demographic data for the entire city.

The website features a new user-friendly interface and some never-before-seen technology applied to an economic development website, including parcel, zoning, schools, traffic counts, TIRZ Zones and rail lines “layered” over a Google Maps interface. The site also allows visitors to view Arlington using Google Earth and Google Maps Street View. Users can also quickly measure any distance on the map, select and filter certain areas of the city and quickly determine exact GPS coordinates at the click of a mouse.

Available properties can be viewed, along with size, use, cost, development incentives, and contact information. Corresponding demographic reports such as labor force, education levels, consumer spending, and age can be created. In addition, businesses are mapped by industry showing their distribution and concentrations throughout Arlington.

Another value-added feature of the website is its integration with a national site selection search engine called ZoomProspector.com, which allows businesses worldwide to do a national search of cities and commercial properties that match their unique criteria. When Arlington and/or any commercial property in Arlington matches a business’ search on ZoomProspector, the business can then click through to ArlingtoniSites.com to deeply analyze the city’s business advantages.
