Peyco Southwest Realty has opened leasing at the Mediterranean-style shopping center near the intersection with Bardin Road. The 30,000-square-foot center, which will be decorated with colorful awnings, is scheduled to be completed in June. The center has drawn interest from national retailers and tenants, according to the leasing company.

Land sale
Southwest corner of Matlock and Nathan Lowe roads

Arlington-based Evans and Forbes has purchased a 3.4-acre site, according to the broker who negotiated the sale. The development company plans four buildings of 5,000 square feet each for sale or lease. Arlington South Joint Venture, which owned the land for 25 years, was the seller.

The Keg Steakhouse & Bar
Interstate 20 and Matlock Road

The restaurant has signed a lease for 9,841 square feet at Arlington Highlands, a shopping center on the northeast corner. This is the steakhouse chain's fourth Texas location.

Opening is set for the fourth quarter.

Brokers: Brian Glaser, president of the D/FW Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group, represented the restaurant. John Mathes with The Retail Connection represented the shopping center.
