Southwest Bank of Fort Worth debuts in Arlington

by Betty Dillard

Southwest Bank of Fort Worth – the largest, locally-owned independent commercial bank in Tarrant County – has relocated its Grand Prairie center to 1630 E. Lamar Blvd. at Baird Farm Road in Arlington. The new branch opened on March 17.

First Bank BHC Inc., a holding company formed by Vernon Bryant, acquired Southwest Bank in July 2007 and merged it with the previously acquired Community Bank of Texas in Grand Prairie.

Corey Doyle will continue serving as president of the new branch. The Grand Prairie location will remain open until May 6.
