Animal Services Reaches Milestone

A significant milestone in the health and wellness of Arlington animals occurred when the City’s Veterinarian completed her 1,000th spay/neuter surgery on Aug. 11, 2009. Dr. Gail Rapport's work is a direct result of the Mayor’s challenge to promote animal wellness and responsible pet ownership. Proactively spaying and neutering animals is the only proven and effective measure to significantly address pet overpopulation. Animals available for adoption at the new shelter are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated. Please consider adopting your next pet from Arlington Animal Services.
