Arlington Welcomes American Idol!

American Idol Season 9 registration and auditions begin this week at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the busiest airport in the U.S., is less than eight miles from Arlington. Dallas Love Field is about 24 miles.

  • From Fort Worth, The T runs buses at peak times of the morning and evening with connections to two Park and Ride Lots. For schedules and passes, click here
  • Arlington encourages van and carpooling. Park and Ride Lots are free and open 24 hours a day from two nearby locations: The Ballpark in Arlington at Stadium Drive and I-30 and Lamar Boulevard.

The hit series empowers contestants and viewers to share their voice in deciding who will be America's next singing superstar.

More auditions for the popular Fox TV show will be held during the next few weeks in Chicago, Los Angeles, Orlando, Florida, and Denver. Auditions have already been held in Massachusetts and Atlanta, attracting more than 9,000 hopefuls per audition.
