Special Events at Cowboys Stadium Start This Weekend
With the first special event at the new Cowboys Stadium just days
away, the City of Arlington and its partners in the Entertainment
District are implementing traffic management plans for safely moving
an estimated 55,000-60,000 guests expected here for the George
Strait/Cowboys Stadium Opening Concert on Saturday, June 6.
Parking lots open at 2 p.m. Stadium doors open at 4 p.m. and concert begins
at 5:30 p.m.
This crowd is among Arlington's largest-ever public gatherings.
Public Works and Transportation Department officials say effective planning and
coordination are required to ensure safety for all participants and spectators.
Key messages are: Experience Arlington. Arrive Early. Stay Late.
