Foundation Supports Recreation and Youth
The Gene and Jerry Jones Foundation have made an $85,000 contribution to the
Friends of the Levitt Pavilion. This is the first distribution of funds as part
of the Dallas Football Club’s commitment to Arlington youth.
“It is a privilege and an honor to directly support the youth of Arlington,”
said Dallas Cowboys Owner/General Manager Jerry Jones during Wednesday’s press
conference held on the steps of City Hall.
Wednesday’s check presentation to the Levitt Pavilion will assist in the
creation of an outdoor amphitheater that will introduce free outdoor concerts
under the stars. The pavilion will encourage and inspire an appreciation of
music and art among youth.
As part of the 2004 stadium referendum, the Gene and Jerry Jones Family created
and funded a foundation focused on enriching the lives of Arlington youth. Over
the next 30 years, the foundation pledges to provide $16.5 million for youth
sports, recreation and education in Arlington.
