New Animal Services Center To Open Spring 2008

The new Animal Services Center, which will be located at 1000 S.E. Green Oaks Blvd., is scheduled to be opened in the Spring of 2008. See what the new center will provide...

Our goal is to encourage responsible pet ownership by offering licensing programs, field enforcement services, and educational programs for Arlington citizens. The care of stray and unwanted animals, and the eradication of rabies from the community’s animal population are critical to successful operation.

We provide services to the citizens of Arlington for the following:

  • Stray animals
  • Animal bites
  • Wildlife/exotics
  • Nuisances:
    - Barking
    - Odor
  • Loose livestock
  • Animal cruelty
  • Public education programs:
    - Schools
    - Day cares
    - Adult groups
    - Utility companies
  • Injured animals
  • Deceased animal pickup
Animal Services Highlights

Beginning Tuesday, January 15, 2008, a new fee schedule becomes effective for various health, animal, transportation and code enforcement services provided in the City of Arlington.
Many of the additions and adjustments provide incentives for increasing the standards in Arlington to help make neighborhoods more safe and attractive.
